From July 23 to 24, 2019, The 2019CCF Computer Conference, organized by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and hosted by the CCF TESEC, was held in Beijing. Themed Application and Innovation, the Source and Driving Force of Autonomous & Controllable Development, the conference focused on addressing challenges and issues in the development and promotion of autonomous & controllable computers and the application of related systems. It provided a platform for academic discussions and technical exchanges, offering recommendations and strategies to foster collaboration across sectors and advance the application of autonomous & controllable technologies.The conference featured keynote and specialized reports from experts representing 34 organizations, with 37 organizations showcasing their achievements in an exhibition. Nearly a thousand representatives attended the event.

During the forum, Professor Guoliang Chen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered an invited report titled “Promoting Applications of Domestic Parallel Computers to Revitalize the National Computing Industry.” He addressed practical issues in the computing industry, emphasized the need and goals for autonomous & controllable development, and proposed new strategies and insights. Academician Changxiang Shen of the Chinese Academy of Engineering presented an invited report titled “Establishing a Scientific Approach to Cybersecurity to Fortify Network Security.” He analyzed the current state, challenges, and issues of cybersecurity from a national informatization perspective and provided insightful recommendations.

The conference included multiple sessions, such as new product introductions, forum discussions, achievement exhibitions, and cooperation negotiations. During the forum sessions, experts from 19 organizations in the aerospace, electronics, shipbuilding, and defense industries shared innovative ideas, technologies, and perspectives on technical and application advancements in autonomous & controllable computing.

In the exhibition, 37 organizations presented the latest achievements in autonomous & controllable computing, showcasing products such as central processing units, digital signal processors, operating systems, development environments, databases, and firmware. Complete systems and devices, including servers, desktops, laptops, all-in-one machines, handheld terminals, networking devices, security equipment, and storage devices, were also on display.

 

Critical technologies are essential assets for the nation. Against the backdrop of a dynamic international landscape, the necessity and urgency of autonomous & controllable development are self-evident. However, significant challenges remain in this field, requiring the collaborative efforts of industry, academia, and users to advance technology and industry. The CCF TESEC will continue to build platforms for technical exchange, collaborative innovation, and integrated development, establishing a strong brand to contribute to the advancement of autonomous & controllable computing in China.
